What is an SCN and how can I get it?

The SCN of a live scan refers to the state control number. It is a confirmation from the Department of Justice that they received the live scan transaction. In some cases, the SCN can help to identify/locate a live scan transaction. You can obtain the SCN from the location you were fingerprinted (if your transaction is less than 30 days old) or by calling Certifix customer support at 1 (800) 710-1934 if it has been longer than 30 days since you submitted your live scan.
